Sunderland want to keep hold of Oscar Ustari

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet hopes to hang onto goalkeeper Oscar Ustari.

The Evening Chronicle says they have not yet given up on Argentina international Ustari extending his stay in the North-East.

He did not figure in any Premier League games, but did start three matches in the FA Cup and Poyet was impressed with his contribution.

The problem is that, at 27, Ustari wants to play regular first-team.

The former Almeria man has had several offers from clubs in Italy and Spain willing to make him their number one.
