Sunderland target Ji hoping to emulate Man Utd's Park

Chunnam Dragons young gun Ji Dong-Won is hoping he can emulate fellow South Korean Park Ji-Sung if he gets his mooted move to Sunderland.

The 20-year old forward is close to completing a move to the Premier League club and if he does, he wants to try and make as much of an impact as former national team captain Park has with Manchester United.

"I hope to survive in the English Premier League as long as I can play like Manchester United's Park Ji-Sung and I also want to be the ace of the team like Lee Chung-Yong at Bolton," he told the Sunderland Echo.

Ji will almost certainly sign a three-year deal with the Black Cats and a Dragons spokesman said he will be a massive loss.

"It is a great loss for us to lose him after having him only for one season and after spending many years to train him," the spokesman said.

"If he returns to the K-League, he must return to the Chunnam Dragons."
