Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt won't ask away in the summer.

Sunderland are chasing Hunt, who told the Irish Independent: "I'm contracted to Reading and, until I'm told otherwise, it doesn't make a blind bit of difference.

"The gaffer has been very good to me in what he'd done for my career so it would be disrespectful to say anything else.

"It's a private matter, whatever happens at the club.

"There is a clause but there's nothing you can do about it until told otherwise.

"I'm happy at the club and grateful to the club for what it's done for me. I'm not going to sit here and do a Jermain Defoe on it and say I'm going."
