Sunderland striker Bent pleased with England recall

Sunderland striker Darren Bent is pleased to be back in Fabio Capello's England squad.

Bent missed out on the World Cup with England but has been included in Capello's 23-man squad for Wednesday's clash at Wembley.

"I'm delighted to be back in the England squad; getting called up for your country is a great feeling," Bent told safc.com at the team's HQ in Germany prior to the friendly against Hoffenheim.

"It's a great boost before the season even starts; hopefully I can do well, take my chance and press my claims to become a regular part of the international squad.

"Playing for your country at Wembley is a great honour for any player so hopefully I can get on.

"I will go down there and give it my all, then see what happens."
