Sunderland send SOS to striker Healy

David Healy is set for a surprise recall by Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia.

The Daily Star says Sunderland are ready to turn to forgotten man David Healy to pull them out of the mire.

Black Cats chief Ricky Sbragia, sickened by the 3-0 defeat at rock-bottom West Brom, is considering starting with the Northern Ireland ace against Everton this weekend.

And incredibly if Healy gets the nod, it will be the 29-year-old's full Premier League debut, nine months after former boss Roy Keane signed him from Fulham in a £1.5m deal.

Healy came off the bench to score against Stoke in February and also has two cup goals to his name.
