Adam Johnson has had his bail extended following his arrest for allegedly partaking in sexual activity with a minor.
The Sunderland winger, 27, was arrested in his County Durham home on March 2 after being accused of sexual involvement with a girl aged 15.
The England international has been suspended by Sunderland with the investigation pending but has had his bail extended to April 23 as opposed the initial date of March 18.
Durham Constabulary are continuing to investigate the matter which has attracted plenty of speculation on social media particularly relating to the identity of the alleged victim.
