The agent of Independiente Santa Fe midfielder Luis Manuel Seijas has played down talk of a move to Sunderland.

Seijas' representative, Sebastian Cano, insists that there is no truth to speculation that the 23-year-old could be moving to the Stadium of Light in January.

"Luis is very comfortable at Santa Fe," Cano told South American media.

"For the moment there is absolutely nothing with Sunderland. There are only rumours that are normal when the winter market approaches."

However, Cano has not completely ruled out a move in the future, adding: "We all know how football is.

"We have to wait until December to see if something arrives because in football anything is possible."
