Sunderland midfielder Billy Knott is enjoying his loan at AFC Wimbledon.

Knott recently extended his loan spell for a third month and is hoping to help drive the Dons up the Npower League Two table.

Speaking to Wimbledon's official website, Knott said: "It is great to extend my time here and to carry on getting experience.

"I am really enjoying it and I love the fans here. My mum was crying the first time that they sung my name - it sends shivers down your spine.

"It is a great buzz to know that they appreciate you and I just have to keep giving 110 per cent. I think they will like me for that.

"I just need to keep doing well for the team and the results will come. I need to get more consistency though and try to improve my game so I want to play all the time."
