Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole is attracting interest from his old club Middlesbrough.
The Daily Mail claims that Boro, who have returned to Premier League after spending seven years in the Championship, are prepared to make an offer of £5million for the Sunderland captain.
The 28-year-old progressed through Boro's youth academy before signing for Wigan Athletic in 2008.
Cattermole spent only one season at Wigan before moving to the Black Cats for a fee of £6m the following season and could now be lured back to the Riverside Stadium upon his first club's return to top flight football.
