Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia hopes to retain his job at the club but is focused on gaining survival in the top flight first.
The Black Cats need to overcome Chelsea on the weekend and hope other results go their way but even if they do stay up, Sbragia knows his position will be reviewed although he hopes to remain in charge at the Stadium of Light.
"I still want the job. I'm contracted and there always has been speculation from the first day I took the seat, but I just hope to retain our status and have a few jars with Niall afterwards," he said.
"There's no way I thought I'd be a manager a year ago, but when it comes to the nitty-gritty and you're asked, you have to take it."
