Sunderland management are delighted to have won the FA Premier League reserves competition.
Defender Nyron Nosworthy was the only senior player in the Sunderland side which pulled off a 3-0 win over Manchester City to seal the reserves' league title.
Neil Bailey's team overpowered City at the Regional Sports Arena with goals from Jean-Yves M'voto, Jamie Chandler and captain Jack Colbeck.
Bailey, manager Ricky Sbragia's assistant, said: "It's a fantastic achievement by the lads, they have had the bit between their teeth from day one. They have been top for so long and that is not easy to do no matter what level you play at. They deserve a lot of credit."
