Sunderland keeper Mannone admits no chance with Man City strikes

Sunderland keeper Vito Mannone admitted he was helpless against Manchester City's first two goals in their 3-1 Capital One Cup defeat to Sunderland. The 26-year-old was beaten in the space of two minutes by precision strikes from Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri.

"I thought the first one was incredible, the way it dipped down. It kept going away from me while I was diving," said the Italian.

"The second one as well was such a brilliant finish. It was the only spot it could go in."
