Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon has urged Hearts' England U21 winger Andy Driver to commit to Scotland.
"Andy is a young player who is making his way in the game and if Scotland can cast the net wide for players I do not see why not," he said in the Daily Record.
"He has been playing very well for Hearts, has terrific pace and you can always use that kind of player at international level because it is a great weapon. It is a major aspect of the modern game.
"Andy was just a teenager before I left but even then he was a good talent and had had a few first-team games.
"He was raw potential back then but he has now become a very important player for Hearts.
"If he doesn't play they really miss him. It takes away a lot of their attacking flair."
