Sunderland goalkeeper Jason Steele is interesting Brighton.

The Argus says Steele is in talks with the Seagulls.

Brighton have their eye on the 27-year-old former Blackburn Rovers, Middlesbrough and England under-21s shot-stopper.

The twice-relegated Black Cats signed Steele on a four-year deal 12 months ago.

After a difficult start and a collapsed loan move to Derby, he made a successful return to the Sunderland side towards the end of the season.
