Sunderland to further strengthen Egyptian ties with Ahmed Al-Muhammadi signing

Sunderland are strengthening their ties with Egyptian football with their loan deal for Ahmed Al-Muhammadi.

The wing-back will move to Sunderland on-loan from ENPPI.

The Sunderland Echo says other English clubs have inquired about the player but Sunderland are believed to be in the driving seat because of their developing ties in Egypt.

Sunderland recently announced a link-up with Egyptian football through the Arab Academy of Science and Technology as well as football club El-Itthad El-Iskandary FC.

And as part of that move, the best young footballers in Egypt will be given the opportunity to come to Sunderland and train at the Academy of Light.
