Jermain Defoe is on his way south.
According to Sky Sports, the Sunderland forward has agreed a three-year, £65,000-per-week deal with AFC Bournemouth.
Due to a clause in his contract, Defoe is allowed to leave the Wearside club for free because they were relegated to the Championship.
The 34-year old will be hoping to replicate his incredible six-month loan spell with the Cherries way back at the start of the millenium.
The Englishmen exploded during his short time at Deans Court – netting 18 league goals, including an unbelievable goal-scoring streak of 10 straight matches.
Defoe will be joining a forward group that managed a reasonable 55 goals in the Premier League this season.
