Matthew Kilgallon is digging in his heels at Sunderland.
The Daily Star says Leeds United's hopes of re-signing Kilgallon, 28, have been dashed with their former defender insisting he wants to stay at Sunderland.
The defender played his way into manager Martin O'Neill's plans in the second half of last season after struggling under former manager Steve Bruce.
