Sunderland skipper John O'Shea isn't surprised to see David Meyler now shining in Sunderland's midfield.
The former Manchester United defender says Meyler, 24, is now maturing into a top-class Premier League operator.
O'Shea said: "When David was at Sunderland we could all see the talent he had but his career was interrupted and nearly ruined by two horrendous knee injuries.
"After recovering, all he needed was a run of games - he has got that at Hull and look at the difference it has made. His touch is better and he is physically stronger.
"He is a big character and will love being at Wembley."
