Sunderland captain John O'Shea will NOT shake hands with Jack Colback before their clash with Newcastle United.

O'Shea has refused to exchange pleasantries with Colback before the match, following his free transfer move from Sunderland to Newcastle six months ago.

O'Shea, looking to captain the Wearsiders to an unprecedented four successive wins over their neighbours, said: "Whatever happens afterwards - shaking hands - there'll be none of that beforehand.

"Jack will be doing everything he can for Newcastle. I'm sure whoever is playing in midfield, Jack will be looking to get right into them - and likewise for us as well."
