Sunderland boss Poyet welcomes Man City test

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet has urged his players to show absolutely no fear at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Black Cats take on Manchester City on foreign soil and Poyet is hoping his side can produce their best in order to repeat their victory over Manuel Pellegrini's lot at the Stadium of Light in November.

"We need to be realistic - they have got plenty of quality players and that's why they're in the position they are in," Poyet said as his side prepares to take on City in next month's Capital One Cup final.

"We must be spot on and do everything right; making sure we're organised to make it difficult for them.

"Saying that, I think it's a game the boys are looking forward to, having the opportunity to play against the team we will face in the cup final. It's a nice game to play."
