Sunderland boss Moyes sees Hibs beat Dundee Utd

Sunderland boss David Moyes was in Scotland this weekend for a scouting trip.

The Sunderland Echo says Moyes spent his Friday night watching Hibernian beat Dundee United 1-0 in the Scottish Championship clash at Tannadice Park.

The Scot is understood to have been keeping tabs on prolific striker Jason Cummings, midfielder John McGinn and centre-back Efe Ambrose.

Cummings, who was sent off after attempting to put the ball in the net with his hand against Dundee United, has caught the eye this season after scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances.

Moyes enjoyed success when he was Everton boss signing players from the lower leagues and this was his second trip to watch second tier action in Scotland this year.
