Sunderland boss Bruce on Stoke stalemate: Anyone still watching?

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce felt sorry for the viewing public after last night's 0-0 draw with Stoke City.

Bruce readily admitted there had been little quality on show.

However, the former Wigan boss was glad to at least have taken a point, saying: "You want three to end the run we've been in but we were nervous and edgy but at least there was the commitment there.

"But we lacked that bit of quality. We are getting people back - at least there was resilience that there hasn't been.

"I don't think you have got any viewers left. But it might be the springboard we need.

"It was an abysmal game to be honest."
