Sunderland boss Bruce not chasing England job

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce says he won't be desperately chasing the England job when it becomes available.

Bruce has already said he would love to be England boss and, after seeing Steve McClaren's career soar after winning the Carling Cup in 2004, he knows anything is possible.

Bruce added: "I was asked about the England thing but, listen, in two years I could be dead.

"Another 15 months in the North-East, another 50 games in charge of Sunderland, I could have a nervous disposition. I could be affected with a tick or something like that."
