Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is delighted to be marking Hartlepool United midfielder Ritchie Humphrey's 10 years at the club.
Sunderland will face Hartlepool United on Tuesday 2nd August (KO 7.45pm) to honour of the midfielder's tenth year at the League One side.
The former Sheffield Wednesday man has notched 480 appearances for Pools since joining in July 2001, a record that Sunderland boss Bruce believes should be recognised.
Bruce told safc.com: "Ritchie has been a fantastic servant for Hartlepool and to achieve what he has at one club in the modern game is absolutely terrific.
"He has set a great example to his fellow professionals and we are delighted to be able to honour his career by taking part in his testimonial. It promises to be a great evening and I'd urge as many fans as possible to come along and show their support."
