Sunderland boss Roy Keane is planning a £5 million bid for Wigan Athletic left-back Leighton Baines.
Wigan have already rejected a £4m offer for the England Under-21 left-back.
Boss Keane also wants Southampton defender Chris Baird, 25, for £3m and will sell Stephen Elliott to Wolves for £1.5m.
