Sunderland attacker Emanuele Giaccherini is ready to sign permanently with Bologna.

Giaccherini wants to turn his season-long loan with Bologna into a permanent deal.

The Italy international cost the Black Cats £6.5m in 2013 but it looks as though his time at the Stadium of Light is over.

“I've already made my decision," he is quoted as saying by Chronicle Live< /i>. “I want to stay at Bologna. My agent and the club are already working in this direction."
