Suarin Shah is determined to win the takeover battle for Blackburn Rovers.
The Mirror says Shah leads the race to take control at Ewood Park after lodging a £25million bid, but faces competition from a number of unnamed parties.
Shah is relatively unknown outside his native Mumbai and his intervention has surprised some industry figures.
Despite his offer, he has not been given exclusive access to Blackburn's books as the club keep their options open.
However Shah, 35, insists he has the cash to buy Blackburn and make them a force a Premier League force again.
"It is an exciting prospect, but I can't say too much at the moment," he said. "We do not enter things to lose, we enter things to win. That is all I can say."
