Stuttgart chief Mislintat upbeat buying Mavropanos from Arsenal

VfB Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat is growing confident of a permanent deal for Dino Mavropanos.

The Greece international is on-loan to the end of the season from Arsenal, which doesn't include a permanent option.

However, his form has convinced former Gunners chief scout Mislintat to push to buy Mavropanos outright.

And Kicker via Fussball Transfers says the defender is open to also staying in Germany.

Further encouraging Mislintat is that Arsenal are now softening their stand and are willing to negotiate a sale for the young stopper.

Mavropanos has a deal with the Gunners to 2023. With VfB Stuttgart this season, the 23 year-old has managed 20 appearances after shaking off an injury-plagued first-half of the campaign in the Bundesliga.

The defender has been on the books at Arsenal since 2020, having been snapped up from Greek minnows PAS Giannina. He spent last season on-loan with FC Nurnberg in Germany.
