Danny Sturridge is set to part company with Manchester City over new contract demands.
The Mirror says Sturridge is set to leave City over his demands for a new £65,000-aweek contract.
City boss Mark Hughes was keen to hang on to Sturridge, who has bagged four goals this season, and the academy graduate is regarded as one of the club's best prospects.
However Hughes refused to be held to ransom by the teenager. City were willing to offer him £30,000 a week, with further rises if he established himself in the team.
But Sturridge, 19, is out of contract in the summer and is now likely to leave on a free transfer next month.
