Sturridge happy for ex-Liverpool teammate Origi: Great human being

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is happy for Divock Origi over his impact with Reds.

Origi came off the bench yesterday to score in victory over Everton.

Perth Glory striker Sturridge told BBC Sport: "I've worked with Divock for many years when I was at Liverpool and he's a great human being, works hard on the training pitch and he scores goals, he's a natural goal scorer.

"When he gets his opportunities he does take them, he definitely likes to play against Everton as well which is a great thing not only for the fans but for himself.

"When you are at a big club and the manager has a lot of options within the squad which Liverpool have an amazing squad right now, especially in the attacking third, there is going to be a lot of rotation.

"So for every player that plays for a big club it's important to know that there are going to games that you are not going to be playing in, there's going to games that you are going to play in and games and there games when you are going to be asked to come onto the football pitch to create something and make an impact and Divock's great at that and he's been great at that for Liverpool throughout his career."
