Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger surprised fans by returning to the Emirates Stadium for the first time in over four years.
Wenger was in the stands as the Gunners came from behind to defeat West Ham United 3-1.
Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the table thanks to the result, with Manchester City set to play Leeds United on Wednesday.
Wenger had not been back to the Emirates since he left the club under a cloud.
He presently works as FIFA's chief of global football development and plays a key role in decisions made by the governing body.
"Hopefully we can bring him close because I think he would have a great time just seeing the environment that he can create around him when he's around this place," current boss Mikel Arteta said of Wenger last season.
"That is because of the respect, admiration and love that everybody at the club has for what he's done and for what he represents as a person in this club."
