Off contract at the end of the month, Ribery is fielding offers from around the world after deciding to leave Bayern.
Western Sydney Wanderers of Australia and interest from Qatar has been considered, however Kicker says Ribery could now stay in Europe after being approached by Premier League new boys Sheffield United.
Indeed, Ribery favours staying in Europe - and in one of the prime competitions - and has welcomed the Blades approach.
