STUNNER! Man Utd make Barcelona approach for Coutinho

Manchester United have approached Barcelona about Philippe Coutinho's situation.

Mundo Deportivo says United have made it clear that they would be 'very interested' in signing the Brazilian, who has struggled to hit the heights he scaled at Liverpool since moving to the Nou Camp 12 months ago.

Coutinho hasn't started a La Liga game since December 2 and that is said to have angered the Blaugrana's record signing, who has seen Ousmane Dembele move past him in the pecking order in recent times.

It is claimed that Coutinho has no intention of leaving Barcelona yet, especially with his family happy living in Catalonia, but that could change if the 26-year-old's situation doesn't improve between now and the end of the season.

A move to United would give Coutinho a chance to win his first trophy in English football.
