STUNNER! Kent reveals 'Gerrard stopped me joining Club Brugge at airport'

Ryan Kent has revealed he was stopped at the airport by Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.

Kent was on his way to sign for Club Brugge from Liverpool, but ended up flying to Glasgow to complete a move to the Gers.

He said: “I was already checked in and sitting in the departure lounge at Manchester airport. That's when I get a call from my agent and the gaffer [Gerrard] saying 'don't go on the flight.'

“I was getting ready to fly out and sign for Club Brugge.

“They are in the Champions League and that was one of the main reasons I was heading there.

“But my heart was set on coming back here [to Rangers].

“I think I can achieve everything I want here and take myself to where I want to go."
