Kevin de Bruyne has dropped a transfer bombshell on Manchester City amid the appeal against their Champions League ban.
De Bruyne says a suspension may force him out of the club.
The Belgian insists the club maintains their innocence and belive their appeal will be successful, but admits a two-year ban would be a difficult obstacle to ignore.
Uefa banned City from Europe for two seasons after being found guilty of breaking FFP regulations and with De Bruyne just a few months shy of 29-years-old, the midfielder is entering the prime years of his career.
Talking on a video call with BHLN, De Bruyne said: “I'm just waiting. The club has told us that they are going to appeal - and that they are almost 100 percent sure that they are right.
“That's why I'm waiting to see what will happen. trust my team. Once the statement is made, I will review everything.
“Two years would be long. In the case of one year, I might see."
