Sacked Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is being linked with a sensational move to Boca Juniors.

The deal is being driven by Boca's new sports director Nicolas Burdisso, who played for Mourinho at Inter Milan.

TMW says Burdisso wants to put together the dream team of Mourinho and Esteban Cambiasso, who would act as the Portuguese's assistant manager. Like Burdisso, Cambiasso also played for Mourinho at Inter.

While acknowledging it is a long shot, Burdisso is making a pitch to Mourinho, with contact already established.

Guillermo Barros Schelotto left Boca as coach last week after losing the Copa Libertadores final to River Plate.
