Barcelona are eyeing a shock move for unhappy Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio.

That's according to Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, when speaking on El Chiringuito.

He said, "The subject of Marco Asensio has been an enigma for a long time. He said that he did not want to leave Real Madrid because on January 1 he could already negotiate with the team he wants. On June 30, his contract ends and if he leaves there will be a significant signing bonus.

"They told me that in the summer not even an offer came for him and they also tell me that there is a club that is interested in hiring his services for next season.

"It is a team that any professional player would love, that is doing things really well now and that they have a very powerful coach.

"It's a great rival of Real Madrid , a very direct rival... and it's not Atlético de Madrid.

"It will be Real Madrid's rival on the weekend of October 16. We are talking about Fútbol Club Barcelona.

"Any great team in the world would be interested in Marco Asensio. Barça has always loved him, but Real Madrid was quicker. Barça was lazy and Florentino Pérez arrived and signed him."
