Everton coach Alan Stubbs believes Joseph Yobo's departure for Fenerbahce is a sign of squad strength.

The Nigeria defender has signed on a season-long loan with Fener.

Stubbs told evertonTV: "The gaffer wouldn't have let him go if he thought it would have left him short in that department.

"The gaffer must be comfortable with that situation and we have a strong squad now."
