Stuart Taylor is set to join Stoke City.

The Mirror says new Stoke manager Paul Lambert is ready to beef up his backroom staff by appointing Taylor.

Taylor worked with Lambert at both Aston Villa and Wolves, but any move comes at an interesting time.

Taylor, aged 43, was only appointed as a coach at Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers last week, assisting Graeme Murty.

But Lambert hopes to tempt him back to England this week.
