Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan can see progress following the 3-1 home victory over Reading. Barry Robson, Leroy Lita and David Wheater were all on target as the home side registered their second victory this week after previously overcoming Burnley.
"Any neutral supporter would have enjoyed our football over the last week because we've been involved in three good games," Strachan told Boro's official website. "There was a smashing first half at QPR and a lot going on Tuesday and again today. We've got six points and we've got better as the games have gone on.
"I thought this one was a good game of football with lots of chances. We could have scored more but maybe that would have been unfair on Reading," he added. "Reading played really well but I thought we were the better team and deserved to win."
