Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan is hopeful the arrival of Dave Kitson should help the team get back on the goal trail. Boro have drawn a blank five times in their last nine games.
Strachan, who made Kitson his second loan striker signing following the earlier arrival of Marcus Bent, told the club's official website: "It's called ability, it's not about luck. You need to enjoy the final moment of a move and that's scoring goals.
"We must give the strikers chances and if you look at the chances we've made in the last two games there have been more than enough to win a game of football. But we needed a proven goalscorer, that's for sure.
"If they make the same amount of chances it's up to them to score the goals. It doesn't matter about anything else, it's all about putting the ball in the back of the net."
