Stones set for Man City stay despite Chelsea, West Ham interest

Manchester City centre-back John Stones is rejecting the chance to leave the club this summer.

Stones is no longer first choice for manager Pep Guardiola.

The club have signed Nathan Ake from Bournemouth and want another defender, likely Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.

But The Telegraph is reporting Stones has turned down the chance to move to another club, with several Premier League teams showing interest.

He wants to rediscover the form that made Pep Guardiola splash out to sign him in the first place.

The 26-year-old is out of favour at club and international level at the moment, and will have to go through a huge improvement to earn both starting spots back.

Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham United had shown interest in him during this transfer window.
