Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson says he is ready to step in for the suspended Robert Huth.
The 25-year-old is favourite to replace the German international at Tottenham on Saturday, as Huth, who cost £6 million from Middlesbrough in August, faces a three-game ban for violent conduct.
Wilkinson told The Sentinel: "I was looking across the bench thinking 'I'm in good company here', so there is nothing to be disheartened about. They are all good players, who want to be playing as well, so there is competition for places.
"Robert is a quality player, so it is not as though I've got someone rubbish in front of me.
"We have a massive squad here and it is full of quality players, but hopefully I will get the chance."
