Celtic's Anthony Stokes is keen for free agent Neil Danns to join him at Parkhead.
28-year old is currently available on a free transfer after departing Crystal Palace at the end of last season and is being targeted by Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers.
Stokes played with Danns when he was on loan at Selhurst Park in 2009 and feels that Neil Lennon should go after him as he is a quality player.
"I'm not surprised ourselves and Rangers are both looking at Neil and have been linked with trying to sign him," Stokes told the Daily Record.
"He is a guy who could be a big success in the SPL. I can only judge him on the time I spent with him at Palace and he was excellent for us back then.
"Obviously I'm biased, but if I get the chance to speak to Neil I'd tell him to join me at Celtic.
"He'd be a great addition to our squad if we could get him."
