Stoke willing to send loan players to Orlando

Stoke City chief Tony Scholes says they could send loan players to MLS partners Orlando City.

Players from the under-21s could soon be heading to the other side of the Atlantic for longer spells, with loan deals in the pipeline, says The Sentinel.

Scholes said, “Every player is different and every player's development needs are different.

“But hopefully it will work that one or two of our younger players in terms of their development programme will spend some time in Orlando. It gives them a different experience, playing in front of a decent-sized crowd.

“It's all about putting together a whole jigsaw for a player's development."
