Tyrese Campbell was delighted to see action for Stoke City in their 1-1 draw with Leicester City.
Reflecting on the game, the 18-year-old was just happy to take the next step in his career, while acknowledging he still has a lot to learn.
He said: “It was a big honour to play for the first team and make my Premier League debut. I'm buzzing about it, but now I need to keep on working to get more chances."
Campbell was close to a debut goal, only for Xherdan Shaqiri's to be out of reach.
Campbell told the Stoke City FC website: “It was a good ball from him to be fair, and I felt I should have gone towards the back post, but I thought he was going to shoot.
“But a striker should always try to get in the box and get to the back post, and that's something I need to do more."
