Stoke warn suitors, Begovic is off limits

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has declared Asmir Begovic is not for sale after Chelsea showed an interest in their keeper. Begovic only arrived at the Britannia Stadium from Portsmouth during last season's winter transfer window and Pulis has no intention of letting the 23-year-old Bosnia international leave.

"They (Chelsea) have enquired, but they have been told he is not for sale," Pulis told the Stoke Sentinel.

"We are trying to bring players in, not let our better players go."

With regard to possible incoming personnel, Stoke have been linked with Nice forward Loic Remy but face plenty of competition for the Frenchman.

"He's a very talented young player, but whether we do the deal is another thing," Pulis said.

"It's not just Stoke interested, but three or four others."
