New Stoke City signing Danny Collins was flattered by late interest from Wolves boss Mick McCarthy this week.

The former Sunderland defender said: "I get on well with Mick and he gave me my chance at Sunderland.

"He's a top manager and I really enjoyed working with him, but I'm a Stoke player now."
