Stoke City are selling Richard Cresswell to Sheffield United for £500,000.

Cresswell has been on loan at Bramall Lane since September, and United boss Kevin Blackwell confirmed: "We have settled on a fee with Stoke and agreed terms with Cressy, and I am delighted he is going to be coming here on a permanent deal."

Cresswell, now back to full fitness after being sidelined with a cracked rib, added: "I have enjoyed every minute of my time here.

"It is a great set-up and there is no question the club is geared up to the Premier League."
