Stoke City are rivaling Hull for Benfica striker Ariza Makukula.

The Tigers are believed to have had the forward watched as he scored against Paris Saint-Germain in a pre-season match last week.

Reports have also credited Tony Pulis' Potters with an interest and a Benfica spokesman has confirmed they are looking at Makukula's situation.

"The decision about the future of Makukula corresponds to the coach," a Benfica spokesman told skysports.com. "But in reference to this we are managing some things."
